Hello Lovelies, I am currently on taking break from running workshops to concentrate on being Mum to my 3 gorgeous girls! Freehand Machine Embroidery and Applique Workshops

Level 1 – Come and start your creative journey using freehand machine embroidery and appliqué, learn how to make your own textile art.

Level 2 – Expand your textile art skills and experiment with mixed media. Learn to create more textured pieces. Incorporate couching, painting, soluble fabric, fibres and found objects into your work.

Level 3 – Get 3D! Learn how to make stunning multi layered three dimensional textile art, make your work come alive.

Or

Make a Portrait, human or animal, using and improving your techniques to make a high level textile artistic impression of your chosen subject.

Learn new skills and get your creative fix all from the comfort of your own home!

If you haven’t used Zoom before it’s great, it allows a group of people to gather and interact virtually. You will be able to see and hear me demonstrate and explain my textile art techniques and I can see you and guide you through the learning process and offer feedback, it’s interactive, just like in a normal workshop! You can use the app, downloaded onto your smart phone/tablet or your computer/laptop, webcam and microphone.

All levels available (See above for descriptions)

Two hour evening small group workshops GMT £25 per head or Private, one-to-one or small groups for you and your friends or family arranged at your convenience.

All information emailed to you in advance: Technique and step by step guides, list of materials and tools needed for the workshop with places to purchase. Or for an additional cost you can buy a kit of materials from me to be posted out to you ready for the day.

How it works:

Just like with a normal workshop, you will receive a confirmation email when your place on the workshop is booked and paid for. Along with an email with the printable information handouts and materials and tools you will need for the workshop, with the option to buy a kit of materials from me posted to you for the day if you’d like. I’ll also send you a few tips about positioning your phone/tablet/computer so I can see you and your workspace best!

You will receive a Zoom invite, with a clickable link and meeting ID and password for signing in to the workshop.

Happy to answer any questions, having done this before it works really well and it’s a very enjoyable experience.

Needle Felting Workshops

Learn how to needle felt, explore how to create beautiful life-like portraits. From animals to landscapes you can use wool and a needle to discover a new world of textiles.

Starting with the basics, I will guide you through the art of needle felting. I will show you how to prepare and transfer your image onto your chosen fabric background, then how to blend, shape and prepare your wool before felting, and how to achieve an accurate life like depiction of you chosen image.

Warning: Needle felting is highly addictive!
